Kann mir jemand sagen, welchen Grafikkarten- bzw. Monitortreiber ich unter SUSE 10 ich verwenden kann?
Ich finde einfach keinen passenden, Linux bietet immer nur 800*600 an.
Auf der Treiberseite von Medion steht diesbezüglich nur "Grafik Treiber WIM 2170/WIM 2180/WIM 2190/WIM 2220", hilft also nicht wirklich weiter. Habe schon Vista runtergeschmissen sonst hätte ich da vielleicht etwas gefunden. Kann mir jemand helfen?

Nur mal so zum Vergleich. Ich habe hier noch einen Röhrenmonitor, einen Belinea 106065. Und so sieht meine /etc/X11/xorg.conf , die bei einem Update von Debian etch übernommen wurde:

Die Konfigurationsdateien im /etc Verzeichnis sind ganz normale Textdateien. Es gibt bei GNU/Linux keine Registry. Die meisten Dateien im /etc Verzeichnis können notfalls mit einem Editor bearbeitet werden. Unixsysteme sind ganz einfach programmierte Betriebsysteme und GNU/Linux ist Unix-ähnlich.
