Hi!
Ich wollte mein bestehendes WinXP SP3 auf Vista Ultimate upgraden. Das erste Problem war aber dann schon mal, dass mein DVD-Laufwerk den Geist aufgegeben hat und ich somit nur mit einer Image-Datei (legal(!) bei meinem Bruder von meiner CD erstellt) arbeiten kann. Dazu habe ich dann den kompletten Inhalt der Ultimate-DVD auf meine Festplatte kopiert und von dort unter laufendem XP das Setup gestartet.
Soweit so gut, Upgrade wurde mir angeboten, läuft auch durch bis es zu "Dateien expandieren" kommt. Bei diesem Vorgang wird die Installation jedes Mal bei 22 % abgebrochen mit der Meldung "Der computer konnte nicht auf den start der nächsten installationsphase vorbereitet werden. Starten Sie die Installation erneut". Dieses Spielchen hab ich jetzt schon 5x gemacht, jedes Mal an der Stelle kommt die Fehlermeldung.

Dabei fällt natürlich die Sache mit dem Bootsektor auf.
Irgendeine Idee?
Ja, ich weiß: man sollte sowieso kein Upgrade, sondern eine Neuinstallation machen, aber ich hab auf meinem XP so viele Programme, Spiele etc. installiert, welche ich ungern neu installieren will. Außerdem: für was gibt's denn die Upgrade-Option, klappt ja bei anderen Leuten auch :-)
Bitte erlöst mich mit einem Tip, dieses Vista macht mich jetzt schon fertig, obwohl es noch nicht mal installiert ist *g*
