Ich hatte also nochmal ein paar Nachforschungen angestellt zum Thema QT/Open-Source-Edition für Windows. Nachdem ich vergeblich nach Download-Möglichkeiten gesucht hatte, fand ich das in der License-FAQ auf der Trolltech-Homepage:
Q: What are the differences between the GNU GPL licensed and commercial licensed versions of Trolltech products?
A: The main difference is in what the license allows you to use them for. Certain modules and database drivers with bindings to non-free software are only available in the commercial versions. The Microsoft Windows versions of our products are only available in commercial versions. Finally, Trolltech\'s technical support service is only provided for the commercial versions.

Q: Why is there no Open Source (GNU GPL) version of Qt on Windows ?
A: We have regrettably not found a way of making GPL versions for Windows available without risking the very business model we depend upon to be able to further develop and support Qt.
Please note that if you make the source code for your project available and your license allows it, any holder of a commercial Qt Windows license can create binaries for your project.
Also entweder diese FAQ ist nich up-to-date, was ich mal bezweifle, oder es gibt sie einfach nicht, die freie QT-Version für Windows.
Irgendwie schade, aber sie werden ihre Gründe haben für die "Unvereinbarkeit".
