Das is das gelbe vom Ei und funzt gnadenlos! Ich selbst bin ein haeufig Installierer und wuerde es nie mehr anders machen. Anstatt droege vor dem PC zu sitzen und die Installation abzuarbeiten kann man ja auch anstatt sich sozial verhalten und mal eben in der Kneipe zwei Kleine runterziehen.
So gehts:
1. BIOS: Bootsequenz auf [1]CD [2]Hard Drive 0 festlegen.
2. Floppy mit WINNT.SIF file reinschieben
3. CD mit WinXP einlegen.
4. Reboot
5. Trinken gehen
6. Nach einer stunde heimkommen und alles laeuft
Was ist WINNT.SIF
WINNT.SIF ist eine Text Datei im ini-Format welche sonst immer von Hand einzugeben sind. Beim Booten von der Installations-CD checkt XP immer(!) ob eine Floppy mit WINNT.SIF auf A:\ ist.
Untenstehend ist ein Beispiel WINNT.SIF, den ich immer verwende. Ich hoffe, du verstehst hinreichend Englisch um die Kommentierungen zu verstehen. Die Kommentare, die am Zeilenanfang ein ";" haben werden vom Setup ignoriert, koennen also drin gelassen werden. NICHT mit dem Zeilenumbruch herumfummel. KEIN Zeilenumbruch!!!
Bei den Regional Settings kriegst Du wahrscheinlich ein paar Australische Werte rein, aber das kannst Du im Control Panel spaeter so hinfummeln wie du willst.

Wenn Du nun auch noch eine Text Editor mit Syntax Highlighting hast (ich verwende fuer so was den Editeur von http://www.studioware.com - gutes Teil! Ca. 2MB) solltest Du in der Registry .sif Dateien als .ini's
ausweisen.

Sollte alles ohne groessere Probleme funktionieren.
Noch ein weiterer Tip:
So gut wir alle Programme lagern ihre Settings in der Registry ab.
Die entscheidenden Lokationen sin fuer die meisten
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software und
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software
Die Eintraege fuer die entsprechenden Programme exportieren. Die Programme abzippen, in der Neuinstllation an gleiger Stelle (!) wieder entzippen und entsprechende Registry Eintraege wiederherstellen. Funtioniert oefter als nicht und das langwirige Installshield/ Wise etc. Installationsverfahren wird umgangen. Funktioniert nicht bei MS Office, Nero und anderen eher komplizierten Progs. Oft werden am Ende auch dll's vermisst - man bekommt irgendwann ein Gefuehl dafuer.
Nun, Studieren geht ueber Probieren. Die WINNT.SIF ("SIF" steht fuer Setup InFormation) funktioniert definitiv.
