Hallo,

ich habe auch noch so einen alten Notebook rumliegen. Einige Treiber fehlen mir da leider noch. Habt Ihr noch einen anderen Link, wo ich mir die Treiber ziehen kann? Der angegebene funktioniert leider nicht mehr.

Ich kaufe solche Notebooks auf, installiere mir ein Win 98 mit Treibern und verkaufe die dann wieder. Es gibt noch einige, die noch ältere Spiele haben und die laufen eben nur mit diesen alten Kisten. DOSBox kann auch nicht alles zu 100% emulieren.

Werde die Treiber heute Abend gleich mal testen.

Leider haben beide Treibervarianten nicht funktioniert. Er öffnet die Dateien unter DOS, aber dann passiert nichts. Wieso er dazu DOS braucht versteh ich nicht. Sind normale Exe-Dateien.

Sind halt definitiv keine normalen EXE Dateien und viel Ahnung hast du definitiv nicht!

2) INSTALLATION PROCESS

        the Sound Card for your Windows 95 real DOS environment.

        !! If you decide not to install at current time, you always
           have a chance to re-setup your sound card support for DOS
           later. Just type C:\SND4DOS at your Real Mode DOS Prompt.

INSTALL.COM and SNDINIT.EXE will do the followings for you:

     a.) Create the directory \OPTI930 (assuming: default) in your
         hard disk drive.

     b.) Prompt you for CD-ROM and sound card options so that after
         you have finished the installation and have rebooted your
         machine, you will be ready to use the sound card.

     c.) Copy the files with INSTALL.COM to the OPTI930 directory
         and Windows directory respectively if you set "WIN31" and
         "WINAPP" in DISK1 file to be "YES". If not, only the
         DOS-related files will be copied to OPTI930 directory.

     d.) Update your CONFIG.SYS, AUTOEXEC.BAT and SYSTEM.INI files

Windows 95 Driver Installation

Step 1:   Install Windows 95 as you normally would for a VGA display.
        First click the Start button, go to Settings and click on
        Control Panel. Choose the Display icon and click on the icon.
        In the Display Properties window, click on the Settings tab.
        Then click on Change Display Type. In the Change Display Type
        window, click on the Change button under Adapter Type. This will
        bring up the Select Device window.

Step 2: In the Select Device window, click on Have Disk. Enter source
        directory where the Windows 95 driver files are located. Press
        <ENTER> and the name of the Chips and Technologies Video Controller
        driver will appear highlighted in the Models list box. Click OK to
        install the selected driver.

Step 3:   Once the installation is complete, the Change Display Type window
        will reappear. Click on Close to close the window. Then the
        Display Properties window will reappear. Click on Apply. The
        system must be restarted for new settings to take effect.

Und unter W98SE muß man die Treiber definitiv jenau so per Hand im Gerätemanager installieren und ist da sowas von Standard bei so ner selbst für W98SE alten Kiste!

Ob bei W98 auch keine Ahnung, mit dem Müll OS hatte Ich nie was zu tun!

Janz jenau ist das AFAIK ne Kapok Kiste und Clevo hat den Support für jede nicht mindestens mit ner mobilen Pentium II CPU ausgestatteter Kiste schon vor wirklich sehr sehr sehr langer Zeit eingestampft!

Mit Windows 98 musste ich die meisten Dateien von Hand vom Gerätemanager installieren. Da konnte ich die Dateien auch entpacken, aber hier geht es irgendwie nicht.

Habe versucht die Dateien mit DOS zu starten, aber auch dort kann er die Dateien nicht entpacken.

Und solche Aussagen zu fällen mit keine Ahnung zu haben finde ich schon sehr gewagt. Das ist meine erste Kiste mit Windows 95 und da läuft es anscheinend etwas anders ab als mit Windows 98 & Co.

Mit 7-ZIP kann man die Archive definitiv auspacken, selbst gemacht unter W10!!!

Wenn man die Platte ausbaut und dann die ausgepackten Dateien auf die Platte kopiert, dann die Platte wieder einbaut und die Treiber richtig installiert läuft das da auch!

Und wie man die Treiber bei W95 installiert steht in den Textdateien bei den Treibern und habe Ich hier im Thread auch schon zitiert!!!

Und du hast von DOS und W95 definitiv sehr wenig Ahnung und von Archiven definitiv überhaupt keine!

Und englisch dürftest du auch nicht gut können und das ist bei der Kiste schon ne toxische Kombi...

Aber es sind keine Archivdateien wie zip oder rar, sondern exe. Und mit 7zip kann man keine exe entpacken. Ich habe auch Windows 10 und exe kann man damit definitiv nicht entpacken. Und Platte raus und wieder rein funktioniert nicht immer so leicht. Gerade bei sehr alten Notebooks. Da muss man unter Umständen fast alles auseinander nehmen um an die Platte ranzukommen

Du bist ein Ignorant und Nixwisser, da muß man nur per Rechtsklick mit der Maus auf die EXE Datei gehen und dann auf 7-Zip und öffnen gehen und 7-Zip muß natürlich installiert sein und nach der Installation von 7-Zip muß man die Kiste natürlich neustarten!

Habe jetzt die Exe Dateien entpacken können. Musste davor von 256 Farben auf High Colour wechseln und jetzt funktioniert es. Brauchte auch kein 7zip.

Du hast mir nur eine Anleitung für den Grafikkartentreiber gegeben. Die anderen Treiber können nicht unter derselben Anleitung installiert werden.

Leider kann man nicht wie bei Windows 98 alle Treiber über den Gerätemanager installieren.

Ich muss mich hier nicht beleidigen lassen als wäre das mein erster Rechner! Wenn du keine Geduld und bisschen Einfühlungsvermögen hast, dann tut es mir leid. Wenn du auf Streit aus bist, dann nimm einen Boxsack und reagier dich dort ab. Du tust die ganze Zeit, als ob du Gott wärst und über alles Bescheid weißt und der Rest ist dir egal.

INSTALLATION PROCESS

    Please follow these steps below for a proper installation of the
    drivers for Windows 95. It is hereby assumed that you already have
    Windows 95 installed and have properly plugged in your Sound Card.

    1. You should have the latest drivers on a floppy diskette ready
       for installation.

    2. Start Windows 95 and proceed to the Control Panel folder and
       select (double click) the SYSTEM icon.

    3. Select the Device Manager tab to display the list of devices
       currently present on your system.

    4. Check to see if you have previously installed the device.
       Usually, the device name starts with "OPTi .. Sound System."
       If a previous instance of the device does not exist, exit the
       System Properties dialog box and proceed to STEP 6.

    5. If the device has been installed previously, double click on
       the device name to expand the list of sub-devices and select
       "OPTi .. Sound System:..." to remove the set of devices plus
       this parent device. You will not be able to remove child
       devices which are controlled by this parent device unless this
       parent device is removed.

       Check also to see if you have previously installed any Windows
       Sound System or Sound Blaster audio devices or their compatibles,
       and if so, please remove them from the list.

       Once the devices has been removed, you must restart Windows 95
       and proceed to STEP 6.

    6. Select (double click) the Add New Hardware icon located in the
       Control Panel folder to add/update the new device and it's
       associated drivers.

    7. When prompted by Windows 95 for the Auto-Scan option for
       detecting new devices on your System - select NO and proceed
       to the next page.

    8. Windows 95 will display a list of known devices that you
       currently wish to install. Select "Other Devices" eventhough
       the name of the device is included in the list. This forces
       Windows 95 to perform a fresh install for your device. Select
       Next to proceed.

    9. Windows 95 will again display a list containing manufacturer
       names and at which point you should ignore the list and select
       the "Have Disk..." button. This tells Windows 95 to read
       special installation instructions from your diskette to
       correctly install the drivers for your OPTi Sound device.
       You will have to direct Windows 95 to the proper location of
       the floppy diskette.

   10. Once information from the floppy diskette has been read by
       Windows 95, a list of devices available for installation will
       be displayed. This list includes options such as what type
       of CD-ROM that you wish to connect to your Sound Card (meaning
       using the connectors on your Sound Card for your CD-ROM
       interface). Select the correct CD-ROM type combination that
       you desire but make sure that the CD-ROM has already been
       installed and connected to your Sound Card. If you do not wish
       to use your Sound Card for CD-ROM support (as a CD-ROM controller),
       just select the basic option which includes only the Sound/Game
       support.

   11. Select Next and Windows 95 will proceed to install the drivers
       needed for your device and configure your device accordingly.
       Once your device has been successfully configured, Windows 95
       will prompt you to restart your system - select No to skip this
       restart process since you should have your Sound Card properly
       plugged in and installed. If however your Sound Card has not
       been correctly installed, you will have to select Yes to
       restart Windows 95.
