USB 2.0 nicht abwärtskompatibel?

Tach zusammen..

Kumpel von mir meinte, dass USB 2.0 nicht abwärtskompatible zu 1.1 ist.

Wenn ich mir also n Mainboard kaufen möchte dass nur 2.0 unterstützt, kann ich dann meine "alten" Komponenten vergessen?
