hallo,
verwende debian lenny und möchte mir einen eigenen kernel kompilieren.
von der vorgehensweise her ist ja die kernelkonfiguration (menuconfig) der aufwendigste teil...
dort wählt man seine hardware aus (treiber, controller...)
jetzt meine frage: wo seh ich zum beispiel, welchen festplattencontroller ich verbaut habe (verwende hier ein thinkpad t42)
weil solche sachen muss (sollte) ich ja in der menuconfig angeben, damit ich nur das drin hab, was ich brauch...

ich meine jetzt grundsätzliche sachen, die man einstellen kann, wenn man ein desktopsystem einsetzen will...
