Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
ich habe mir vor kurzem eine neue Grafikkarte (Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT, 512 MB DDR2, PCI-E, 128 Bit) gekauft und bekomme diese Karte einfach nicht zum reibungslosem Laufen. Ich habe die Treiber von der alten Grafikkarte auch deinstalliert (auch im abgesicherten Modus) und auch mal einen Driver-Cleaner über das System laufen lassen, um wirklich ALLE Reste der alten Karte zu beseitigen.
Jedesmal, wenn ich die neue Karte installiere, hängt sich der PC frühestens bei dem Willkommensbildschirm auf. D. h., der Bildschirm flackert ein paar Mal und dann kommt ein Bluescreen (mittlerweile nur Millisekunden lang) mit der Meldung, daß der Gerätetreiber in einer Endlosschleife hängen würde. Ich habe die Treiber von der mitgelieferten Treiber-CD installiert.
Ich habe es jetzt schon ein paar Mal versucht die Karte zu installieren und jedes Mal kommt der gleiche Fehler. Des weiteren habe ich auch das Windows-XP-Pro schon zwei bis drei Mal neu aufgesetzt, jedoch ohne Erfolg. Es kam immer wieder der gleiche Fehler.
Hier eine kleine Übersicht, über mein System:
Windows: XP Pro SP2
Mainboard: ASRock ALiveSATA2-GLAN, AMD Athlon64 x2 Dual Core Processor 3800+(ohne Onboard-Grafik!)

Netzteil: 520W
Mit meiner alten Grafikkarte (Nvidia GeForce 7100 GS) läuft alles bestens. Ich möchte aber gerne die neue Karte installieren, damit ich endlich mal meine neuen Spiele spielen kann...!!!
Wo könnte der Fehler liegen? Muß ich evtl. ein BIOS-Update machen? (*zitter*) Oder brauche ich ein Update für das Mainboard? Wenn ja, wo finde ich das richtige Update und wie macht man so ein Update?
Über eine Antwort würde ich mich sehr freuen.
