USB Problem unter Win2K!!

Mir ist es jetzt schon bei mehreren PC´s passiert, das sich der USB Port von Mobo´s mit Viachipsatz nicht installieren lässt. Im Gerätemaneger von Win2k wird kein fehler angezeigt! Es steht nur Unter dem Punk USB Controller: Nicht unterstützter VIA USB Controller. Das Problem tritt nur bei W2K auf. Unter allen anderen Windows versionen funktioniert das einwandfrei. Es ist mir bisher bei chipsätzen von VIA für den PIII und den PI passiert. 4in1 sowie SP3 waren in allen Fällen installiert!!  Wer kann mir helfen bzw. eine Lösung für dieses Problem geben??

Handelt es sich um USB2 Controler?
Habe gerade auf http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=71#usb gelesen,daß USB2 Devices nur per Windows Update von MS unterstützt werden.
Tolle Wurst,was?!Die Rede ist von XP und W2k.Haste den 4in1 4.45 schon drauf?
Mit der Southbridge VT8235(KT266Chipset) unter W98SE funzt`s bei mir auch,USB2 mit USB1.1 Drucker.
Ansonsten sind http://www.usb.org und http://www.usbman.com/ gute
Adressen bei Probs mit USB.
Hoffe das bringt Dir was!
Das hab ich dazu auf einer Mobo-CD gefunden:(leider hier ohne Bilders!)zum VIA USB HOST CONTROLER 2.0:
"4.0 Driver Installation (Windows 2000)
1.Please make sure this PCI card has been installed on your system correctly.
Open the Device Manager and check if there is a “Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller” in “Other devices”.
2.Insert the supplied “Windows 98/ME/Win2K/WinXP USB 2.0 Driver Installation diskette” into the floppy disk drive and execute the setup program by double clicking on the “setup.exe” file in this diskette.
3.Press “Next”.
4.Select “Install USB 2.0 Driver” and press “Next”.
5.Press “Finish”.
Note! This will restart your system. Please remember to close other programs before you click “Finish” button.
6.After restarting your system, please check if your device works.
Note! If there is a yellow exclamation mark on “VIA USB 2.0 Enhanced Host Controller” or “USB 2.0 Root Hub Device”, please remove this item from the “Device Manager” by clicking the “Uninstall” button and click “Refresh” to re-install this driver again.

7) Driver installation:
a) Windows XP
Setup will install Microsoft USB 2.0 Host Controller Driver.
** Driver Installation **
Click the SETUP.EXE program and select "Install" button then it will install the "Microsoft USB 2.0 Host Controller Driver" automatically on your Windows XP system. It will copy the driver to the system folder and set the related registry tree. (Setup Program will also install the QFE [Hotfix Q312370] package FIRST.
You do NOT need to do it by yourself).
** Driver Uninstallation **
You could remove the "Microsoft USB 2.0 Host Controller Driver" by selecting the "Uninstall" button. It will completely remove the driver from the sytsem.
b) Windows 2000
Setup will install Microsoft USB 2.0 Host Controller Driver.
** Driver Installation **
Click the SETUP.EXE program and select "Install" button then it will install the "Microsoft USB 2.0 Host Controller Driver" automatically on your Windows 2000 system. It will copy the driver to the system folder and set the related registry tree.

Müßte nebst Treiberlein auf jeder Mpbo-CD zu finden sein,kann ich auch mailen,wenns was nützt!
